The Polygon Chair came 2nd/ runner up in the Milan A Design competition 2023 🥳 and was a finalist in “Australias next top designer” competition in Melbourne at the MCEC 2023!!

The Polygone chair has a retro futuristic appearance reminiscent of Scandinavian mid-twentieth century designs. This pice is intended as a recliner with the seat fixed at a 104 degree angle, the angle that research has found most pleasant to sit in, the seat is then further reclining on its undercarriage to give it the the dedicated relaxed recliner feel.

Finnish Birch plywood is used for its seat and hoop plywood for its undercarriage. The seat is upholstered in faux rein deer pelt for extra scandinavianism. The Polygon chair weighs 22kg and can travel compacted to its undercarriage on top of the seat. Birch wood Dominos and wood glue are used extensively to get the fastener free appearance.
